2022 Free Shred Day Events

Shred Your Documents for Free

Free Shred Day Events at Prevail Bank - 2022

Our customers and local organizations matter. To show our appreciation, we have coordinated an event that benefits everyone!

Each of Prevail Bank’s nine locations will be holding a free Shred Day Event for paper documents. The community benefits through the free shred service we’re providing and local nonprofits receive a donation. For every pound of paper shredded, Prevail Bank will donate a dollar, up to $1,000 to a nonprofit.  If every branch shreds at least 1,000 pounds, Prevail Bank will be donating a total of $9,000!

From an identity theft perspective, shredding confidential information is very important.  According to Experian, identity theft affects about 1 in 20 Americans each year, and it’s rising rapidly.  During the 2020 holidays, 24% of 1,000 surveyed respondents reported being a victim of identity theft or fraud – double the percentage from 2019! Identity theft occurs when another person takes pieces of your personal information and assumes it as their own, thereby causing damage to your credit, as well as your name. Credit monitoring and identity theft restoration services do exist. Information relating to ID TheftSmart products and services are available at Prevail Bank.

Below (listed in alphabetical order by branch location) are the dates, times and the organization benefiting from 2022’s Shred Day.  Materials to be shredded will be accepted as capacity allows.
