Free Shred Day Events at Prevail Bank - 2023

Free Shred Day Evens at Prevail Bank - 2023

At Prevail Bank shredded documents equals cash for nonprofits

Our customers and local organizations matter. To show our appreciation, we have coordinated an event that benefits everyone!

Each of Prevail Bank’s nine locations will be holding a free Shred Day Event for paper documents. The community benefits through the free shred service we’re providing, and local nonprofits receive a donation. For every pound of paper shredded, Prevail Bank will donate a dollar, up to $1,000 to a nonprofit. If every branch shreds at least 1,000 pounds, Prevail Bank will be donating a total of $9,000!

From an identity theft perspective, shredding confidential information is recommended.  Identity theft occurs when another person takes pieces of your personal information and assumes it as their own, thereby causing damage to your credit, as well as your name.

According to the National Council on Identity Theft Protection, 1 million more reports of identity theft and fraud, totaling 5.7 million, were reported in 2021 than 2020. Alarmingly, the number of identity theft scenarios in the US is nearly 3 times higher than in other countries; 33% of Americans have faced some kind of identity theft attempt in their lives. People need to safeguard their personal information if they want to avoid identity theft scenarios in 2023. Credit monitoring and identity theft restoration services do exist. Prevail Bank offers ID TheftSmart products and services.

Meanwhile, arrange to have your documents shredded. Below (listed in alphabetical order by branch location) are the dates, times and the organizations benefiting from 2023’s Shred Day. Materials to be shredded will be accepted as capacity allows.
