$26,048 split between nine local nonprofits this holiday season

Here to lend a hand

(2025) Another season has come and gone, and how wonderful it is to take a moment to remember the blessings of the past year. The fast pace of our busy lives makes each moment so precious! It is also an honor to share that it will/was a little brighter for those in need. Between the generosity and compassion of our patrons and Prevail Bank, $26,048 was split between nine local nonprofits!!

Through our Holiday Matching Funds campaign, monetary donations were collected from the public (Nov 10-Dec 5) with the understanding that we, Prevail Bank, will double the donations gifted, up to a total of $1,000 per branch! Each branch chose a different nonprofit. Of the total amount gifted, Prevail Bank contributed $7,105.

The benefiting nonprofits were:

$2,845 - Sauk County Children’s Giving Tree

Sauk County Children’s Giving Tree is an organization that provides toys, clothing, supplies, financial assistance, and meals during the holidays to children and families in Sauk County.

$3,441  - Eau Claire Department of Human Services Children’s Giving Tree

A giving tree was established in the Eau Claire branch lobby that featured tags with a child’s sex, age, and interest. Ultimately, 160 gifts were provided by the public. Prevail Bank followed suit, purchasing gifts totaling $1,000 for the benefit of 34 children.

$832 - The Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield

The Boys & Girls Club helps ensure local youth have access to safe, supportive, and enriching opportunities both after-school and during the summer.

$974 - Taylor County Food Pantry

The pantry provides nourishment in the form of food, education, and compassion to neighbors in need.

$4,175 -  Owen-Withee Food Pantry

The pantry provides free emergency food and nutrition assistance to eligible low-income households. The Owen-Withee Lions Club joined Prevail Bank this year and matched the public’s donations, up to a $1,000 as well! (The $4,175 includes the Owen-Withee Lions Club’s contribution.)

$2,830 - Catkins Animal Rescue Expansion Project

Catkins Animal Rescue is the only animal rescue within Price County. It provides safety, care, and second chances to stray, abandoned, neglected, and surrendered animals.

$524 - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Wisconsin (Stevens Point WI)

This organization ignites, inspires, and empowers local youth to learn, lead, and grow. They match each child with a mentor and professionally support their relationship over time.

$5,325 - Blessings in a Backpack

Through its Meals on Weekends program Blessings in a Backpack ensures 1,800 Wausau and DC Everest school district children have enough to eat.

$5,102 - FOCUS (Feeding Our Communities with United Services)

FOCUS addresses food insecurities through South Wood County food pantries, Neighborhood Meals, and family backpack programs.
