Local Mortgage Lenders vs. Online Lenders

Local Mortgage Lenders vs. Online Lenders

In today’s digital world, we have options to do nearly everything online. We can shop for groceries, order a new outfit, and even buy the latest sports car online. At Prevail Bank, we believe that local mortgage lenders will never go out of style. We offer the convenience of online applications, or, by your preferred method of communication; email, phone call, or even text. But most importantly, your lender is always here when you need them, at the point of application, and anytime throughout the life of your loan.

We know our communities

Our lenders know our communities and neighborhoods. As we have been your community bank for over 85 years, it is safe to say that we understand our communities, and the needs that they have. We are also quite familiar with finding ways to help you during the lending process. Our team is able to offer local insight on what type of loan may be right for you and your needs. When you’re working with a mortgage lender at Prevail Bank, you’re in good hands.

One lender for the life of your loan

When you get to work with one lender for the life of your loan, you get the trust and rapport that comes with our years of expertise. Our lenders work to get to know you and your unique needs, providing advice, answering questions, and being there when you need. Online lenders cannot create the same personal relationships that local mortgage lenders can. If you apply for a loan through an online lending organization, you will likely speak to a different case manager each time you reach out. You may not receive the personalized attention with the same person who knows you and your home lending needs, like you would with a local lender.

Best of both worlds

Attracted to the simplicity of an online mortgage application? Don’t count us out! Prevail Bank offers you both an online mortgage application process and a local mortgage lender. You can reach out to your lender as much or as little as you’d like. Regardless, our dedicated team is here when you need us the most. Our goal is to help you reach your goals.

Mortgage Lending Tip from Hope Anderson (NMLS# 1827982): “The most important part of a mortgage loan is the trust you build with your lender. When you work with a local lender, you get personal service and a personal touch. Bring your needs to your lender, work to understand your mortgage loan, and most importantly; ask questions! Your lenders are here to help, don’t hesitate to reach out.”

Hope has been a part of the Prevail Bank mortgage team for just over 4 years now, and in the mortgage lending industry for nearly 10. While she’s not busy at work helping her customers, she volunteers at both The Community Table and the Chippewa Valley Technical College. Hope states that her favorite part of being a mortgage lender is “being able to interact with people and getting to know them on a personal level so that she may help them succeed financially.” Hope is looking forward to spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Toby this summer on Lake Altoona.
